“Who gets to be Primary?” from @PolyWeekly
This episode from PolyWeekly is very insightful as the primary relationship can be illusive and challenging to understand.
I find it comforting to know others are out there not only living with multiple primaries but ALSO willing to share their insights.
The discussion opens many questions.. the one that presses most for me at the moment is “How to introduce a new primary when there is already a primary in relation?” Especially, when the initial primary is a spouse and the common social understanding for primary relationship is in place and established over multiple years.
How does one make this introduction smooth for all involved? What landmines need to be avoided?
On that point, what indicators insight a person to determine they want to bring another person in AS A PRIMARY?
